The Guardians of Jorge Chavez Airport

Since the beginning of time, humans have felt the call of what lies beyond their horizon. The first humans were nomads and explorers. They were compelled to move and seek new lands to survive the changes in climate and environment. However, over time, they became sedentary, choosing places to put down roots and grow.

Throughout the centuries, many forgot their adventurous nature—but others did not. These adventurers chose to cross doors, traverse rivers, and build bridges with the purpose of embarking on journeys that would transform their lives.

For centuries, men and women of all cultures have begun their journeys seeking blessings, using amulets, and following rituals in the hope that their voyage would lead them safely to their destination. But they are not alone. When a traveler takes the first step on their adventure, a portal opens—and to that portal, a guardian is assigned, ready to offer a special gift to the one who dares to cross.

This is the story of the Guardians and Sages entrusted with protecting the portal of Lima.
